The Orgatec is starting next week in Cologne and it´s one of the biggest officefurniture tradeshows in the world with tens of thousands of visitors and manufacturers showing their latest innovations and sharing their views on officeplanning.
Officenieuws is covering the Orgatec live, but before it all started we have been talking with some CEO´s of well known manufacturers of officefurniture about the Orgatec, their company and what we can expect at the end of October.

Sharing his ideas today is Jonas Wetterlöf – CEO of String Furniture
Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?
We are a swedish company based in the south of Sweden with resellers and distributors in over 40 countries.
What does your company do , and where can visitors find you on the Orgatec?
String Furniture produce the classic String shelf, designed in 1949 by swedish architect Nils Strinning. And since 2015 also String works – a series of furniture for a flexible and contemporary work environment.
We are exhibiting in hall 10.2, stand J-059.
What would be the main reason to visit your booth on the Orgatec?
To see what a modern work environment looks like. We offer height-adjustable tables as well as free standing shelf solutions with sound absorbents.
What new developments and products can we expect from your company on the Orgatec and in the next months, and which impact will they have for your stakeholders?
Besides our height-adjustable work desks, now available in two new sizes, we also introduce the smaller meeting table, 180×90 cm, and the large conference table, 360x90cm. We are working with the fact that people are not built to sit still. Therefore we work better if we can vary our posture, changing position from seated to standing helps improve concentration and make us feel better.
What will be the key trends we will see on the Orgatec and do they fit in your vision about ´Working life in 2020´?
Furniture for smaller and flexible offices and there will our furniture range fit right in with is very slim table frames that works for all types of office environments as well as at home. We also offer a mobile storage unit that can easily be moved between different workstations. And of course the String system – a flexible modular shelving system.
