National Office Furniture, a unit of Kimball International, Inc., announced the succession of its President, Kevin McCoy, and the appointment of Kourtney Smith as the company’s new President, earlier this month.
During McCoy’s tenure with National Office Furniture, the company has achieved record-breaking sales, expanded business globally, advanced its manufacturing capabilities, and upheld National’s history of launching innovative and relevant products. His leadership has elevated National within the industry.
Smith served as President of Kimball Hospitality before promotion
Kourtney Smith will succeed Kevin McCoy as President, effective February 5, 2018. Smith most recently held the position of President, Kimball Hospitality. Before her promotion to that role in August 2015, she served as Vice President, Marketing for National where she led product development, marketing, sustainability, vertical markets, increasing brand awareness in the architect and design community, and sales development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In addition to her role as National’s President, she will continue to serve as a Vice President of Kimball International, Inc.
Commenting on the new position, Smith said, “I am humbled and incredibly honored to have the opportunity to lead the talented National Office Furniture team. The brand is dynamic, unique, and well-poised for continued growth. I am excited to re-join the organization.”
Kourtney holds the distinction of being a Kellogg Executive Scholar of Professional Achievement in Marketing and Sales Management. She has continued her personal and professional development through a variety of programs and involvement in industry associations.
