According to an article published in July 2017 in Pambianco Magazine, the Italian Furniture Manufacturing market is booming. In 2016 the main players in the Home & Design Sector increased their turnover of 8.4%. Industry leadership remains with Natuzzi, despite the -6.4% drop in turnover from 489 to 457 million Euros. Molteni and Poltrona Frau follow in second and third place, with a turnover of 366 and 320 million Euros and an increment of 14.7% and 6.7% respectively.
Amongst the fastest growing companies POLTRONESOFA’, GIESSEGI e ARREDO 3 come top with an impressive 20%, 18.1% and 17% increment respectively. In 2018 the ones to watch are Stosa, Battistella, Boffi and Pedrali: they scored a healthy 10% + increase and are rapidly heading for the 100 million turnover mark.
The Italian furniture industry’s success is a reflection of vast investments in research, product development, innovation and new technology: these, together with passion and creative flare, will guarantee the Italians a premier position as Europe’s finest in the years to come.
