For its new Milanese home, Foscarini has picked one of the most strategic venues on the city’s design map: Corso Monforte, nicknamed by industry specialists as the “lighting road” owing to the presence of many leading lighting design brands.
“Our decision”, comments Carlo Urbinati, chairman of Foscarini, “stems from the desire to get even closer to the end consumer and to the community of designers and specifiers; in a place where Foscarini can put at their disposal all its production, design and innovation know-how.”
It is with this objective that the brand selected a large space situated in the heart of the street, distributed over several floors and perfect for illustrating the Foscarini universe from multiple perspectives. The showroom will not only be a place for displaying and selling the brand’s collections: it is set to become a meeting place for professionals, who can rely on a team of qualified experts willing to accommodate the many complexities of the market.
In the run up to the official inauguration scheduled for Spring 2019, the space will open to the public on 15th November with the Be/Colour! capsule collection beside other Foscarini best-sellers and icons.
Immersion into colour
It is set to be a genuine immersion into colour – the leitmotiv for Foscarini’s 2018/2019 season – thanks also to the decision to implement, also from the point of view of the layout, bright red hues and all the shades of the capsule collection designed by Ferruccio Laviani.
“We are proud to be opening our new Milanese Headquarters in one of the city’s historic design districts” emphasises Urbinati. “It is a place that will promote the values of design, excellence and innovation, values which have always guided Foscarini in all its activities.”
