On the night of 27th to 28th November, this year a fire broke out in our factory, in Turek, causing tangible and intangible losses. We say intangible because not only were machines destroyed, but also many years of our hard work. The most important thing, however, is that our commitment has not been diminished by the fire.
Luckily, nobody was hurt. The fire brigade’s operations were carried out flawlessly, as was the evacuation – it was textbook perfect. The whole crew knew what to do. We cannot be more proud of our employees
The people who have made Profim what it is, are, in many cases, whole families. A fire of this magnitude is a difficult ordeal for all of us. And in these times of social media even more stressful. As we all know fake news spreads faster than fire but we do not intend to give in to this. Profim and the Flokk Group are committed to make operations in Poland even stronger and relevant. Our program is sustainability, affordability and practicality.
We will turn this setback into something good
The production was resumed from day 1, today, two thirds of our offer is still available. With the help of good manufacturers with similar capabilities to ours, we are adding “new” old products every week. We have also decided to refresh our offer and discontinue some outdated models, leaving more space for faster new product development. As of now, Profim will have a slimmer but definitely more up-to-date and coherent product portfolio.
We are not giving up
We are not giving up because we have received a lot of support, also from our competitors.
We are also not giving up because we are part of a larger family – the Flokk Group. The products’ heart of Profim – task chairs – has not been affected by the fire. In addition to our core offer, we can benefit from Flokk’s extensive portfolio so that in this transition phase, our customers are able to choose from a wider range of products.
Profim will go forward
We will create something new. This is our promise. We will build a new quality which will allow for more advanced and, which is extremely important – to us, more environmentally friendly production solutions. Efficiency, environmental awareness and affordable design – this is who we are.
Everything that happened has made us want to do even more. We feel strong being part of the group.
