This years Orgatec is about culture@work and visionary concepts for a new working culture. Officerepublic is interested in how participants in the Orgatec describe the culture in their own company and their vision on the workplace of the future. To clarify this vision, we asked five questions to more than 400 participating office furniture manufacturers. We publish the answers we receive in a series on OfficeRepublic: “Culture @”. This article is about Culture@Addo with the companies Managing Director Bünyamin Usta
#1 – Culture is sometimes defined as all that man produces in material and immaterial sense. The culture of a people, or a group of people, includes its beliefs, values and customs. If we look at your company, how do you describe the current culture in your company?
Addo is very curious and is very open to the world, like Turkish people are, how they approach business and how they deal with this to open it to the world. People working for Addo have great skill in handicrafts, this is in the DNA of the company, and culturally handicraft was and is very important.
Combining both genuine handicraft skills and modern production procedures of products with international style. “Modern design meets technology” is the vision of Addo today.
#2 – What changes do you see taking place in the culture within companies in the coming years? Which external and internal developments will affect our ‘work culture’?
The culture will be always, but new elements will join the culture. Especially for a company like Addo which is willing to be a global player, new elements will be added to the way Addo will operate in the next future. It’s not any more working for the domestic market, but for the international, this automatically will bring new ingredients to the new collections in the future.
#3 – What developments can we expect from your company in the coming years?
We will for sure be more open to operate globally because we feel we are ready to do so, and we will collaborate as well with other brands to be complete in sense of offering best possible solutions to our clients and to reach more opportunities on the international markets.
#4 – Do we already see some of that development on the coming Orgatec, and what will be the eye-catcher of your trade show presentation?
We worked very hard to bring news to the Orgatec as the fair is very important platform for us to show our new products and to show the high quality of our production skills. We will show Ares, a new executive desk system with important details like its particular legs and the combination of different materials. We will show new lounge chairs. And we will propose an anti-stress rocking pouf for adults, Dondolo.
#5 – Where can you be found on the Orgatec?
