From now on, the VDB Group will be known as the Fair Furniture Group. This new name expresses what the group of manufacturers of office, project and school furniture stands for: sustainable furniture made in the Netherlands with care for people and a vision for a fair, healthy future.
The name change is a logical step for the VDB Group, established in 1998. Member companies in the group, such as Vepa, Be by Bèta, Drentea and Eromesmarko, have already been working for years to achieve a leading position when it comes to clean, sustainable and circular products.
Frits Muysson, the group’s CEO, explains:‘ What we’ve already viewed as normal here for a very long time is still often regarded as being special. That is, that we produce everything in the Netherlands, close to our market. That we create jobs here instead of far away, and can therefore guarantee good employment conditions and salaries. That we’re not transporting parts and products halfway around the world, and therefore not only save on CO2 emissions but can also switch flexibly to other, renewable materials. That we will always prefer these renewable materials and raw materials over the use of fossil raw materials. Rather than taking the most profitable or easiest route, we choose as a group to take the right and fairest one. This name therefore clearly indicates who we are. And everyone is free to come and see if we’re actually doing as we say we are – our doors are always open.’
The Fair Furniture Group is a family of 9 strong brands with more than 450 employees, distributed across innovative production locations in Breda, Wijchen, Hoogeveen and Emmen in the Netherlands.
