As China is fighting a serious battle against the novel coronavirus, prevention and control of the epidemic is the country’s most important work for now. Following the Chinese government’s guidelines to contain the virus, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau recently announced that all large-scale economic and trade events should be suspended.
To ensure health and safety of all participants, the organizers have taken the decision to postpone the 45th China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou) (“CIFF Guangzhou”) and China International Furniture Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials Fair 2020 (“CIFM/interzum guangzhou”) until a later date.
The fairs were originally scheduled for March 18-21 and 28-31 in Guangzhou. New date will be notified in due course.
Exhibitors and visitors first
CIFF: “As a brand exhibition organized by the “national team” of China’s exhibition industry, CIFF adheres to the principle of “putting exhibitors and visitors first”. Given the current situation of the novel coronavirus in China, rescheduling the fairs to protect people’s health and safety is an important and necessary decision to make.
“No matter how difficult it is, CIFF will, as always, stand by the international furniture and furnishing industry. It is our firm belief that through concerted efforts by exhibitors, visitors, associations and all industry stakeholders, by making the best of its strength and improving show quality, CIFF has full confidence and capability to develop into a world’s first-class exhibition and create more value for the industry.”
