Schneeweiss AG Interior, which specializes in furniture and interior design, will invest in a modern innovation and competence center in Kippenheim. The groundbreaking ceremony is in October and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. With the new building, the Schneeweiss group of companies is committed to the Ortenau (Germany) site, bundling local skills and systematically developing its forward-looking and innovation-oriented vision.
Committed to Ortenau
The Schneeweiss AG Interior, a parent company of furniture and interior design companies Hiller Objektmöbel, Rosconi and Braun Lockenhaus (Austria) and the advertising agency Atelier Schneeweiss and the forwarding company Widra Logistik, will invest in a modern new building in Kippenheim. The location of the future corporate headquarters is already clear: the building is to be built on the plateau directly opposite Hiller and Rosconi. “That is our commitment to the Ortenau location and to safeguarding jobs in the region,” says Jürgen Dreher, owner of Schneeweiss AG. “With the new building, we are combining the skills and resources of our German companies to increase our competitiveness in the future. In addition, we want to shape our role in the market as an efficient innovation leader, “he says, explaining his decision to invest millions in Kippenheim.
Dynamic architecture, light-flooded rooms
The design of the new competence center is developed in close cooperation between Jürgen Dreher and the Kippenheim architecture firm Keienburg Architekten. “We are sure that the innovation and competence center will impress with its dynamic, straightforward architecture, the elegant interaction of glass and wood, an open, light-flooded interior design as well as flexible usage possibilities on more than 1,000 square meters“, emphasizes Dreher.
Concept developed for flexible use
The centerpiece of the new innovation and competence center will be the interactive showroom, which on the one hand depicts the current product portfolio of the group – chairs, tables, lounge and lobby items, and on the other hand grants a deeper insight into the traditional craftsmanship of woodworking as a multimedia museum “Die Stuhlmacher” (The chairmaker, FS). As an attractive event location, the new building also provides the perfect setting for top-class designer and architect events. Representative meeting rooms that invite to efficient collaboration or creative workshops in a professional business environment, as well as over 30 modern workplaces pave the way to new working environments. A highlight of the new building is the planned Meeting Point with its spacious terrace.
Communication and work-life balance key issues
The focus of the competence center will be on the topic of “communication” as well as on promoting the work-life balance. “Our employees from production and administration can and should meet for a lunch break, a coffee or a beer after work. “says Dreher and adds:” Through the deliberate developed open spaces, we integrate small moments of balance into the daily work routine and create a balance. In this way, we encourage creative, unfolded thinking so that new ideas and approaches can emerge. “
